How Can I Help?

Once you get a taste of the incredible things happening at Experience Camps, there’s a good chance you’ll want to throw your whole heart and soul into it. There are many ways to get involved with Experience Camps, and not all of them include sleeping in a cabin in the woods for 6 nights! Our organization is built on the passion, skills and expertise of exceptional people. If you are an exceptional person and want to get involved, here are some of the opportunities we have…

Be a Connector

  1. Start a Crowdrise Team - Each year, our friends and fans reach out to their own friends and fans and help spread the love through the online giving platform, Crowdrise. Join the end-of-year Holiday Challenge, or set up a team for a birthday, wedding, marathon, or just because.

  2. Tell Your Story - If you “get it”, have lived it, or just believe in it, then tell your story. We’d love to feature your story to connect others to our cause and break down the walls to understanding grief. Essay topics could be “A Letter to My Younger Self”, like the one seen here, or “A Letter Home”, like the ones seen here. Email us at info@experience.camp when you have something to share.

  3. Tikkun Olam (“Repair the World”) - If you or someone you know needs a cause for a mitzvah project, we’ve got you covered. Check out this page for a simple step-by-step guide and ideas for getting kids involved with giving back.

  4. Host an Awareness Event - check out our DIY section for ideas on dinner parties, cocktail parties, shopping events, Spikeball tournaments, and more.

  5. Make an Intro - Good people know good people. If you know someone that would be a great match for Experience Camps for camper outreach, volunteer recruitment or funding, introduce us! Email us at info@experience.camp or give us a call at 833-CAMPFTK (833-226-7385)

Join Our Team

  1. Board of Directors - These are the people who determine the strategic vision of the organization and figure out how to make it happen. Best for people who are ready to seriously commit to the organization, have experience or expertise in key industries and disciplines, and have supportive personal and professional contacts.

  2. Regional Advisory Council - These are the people who are putting their efforts and energy into establishing roots in each of the primary regions that we serve. Best for people who want to use their time, resources, and commitment to develop partnerships and connections in their region to better serve the campers in those areas. Click HERE for more details.

  3. Advisory Committee - Advisors are invited to the table to provide professional expertise in a variety of disciplines that enhance the knowledge on the board and connections to key constituents. Best for people who have deep knowledge in their field (like a CPA or Thanatologist), and want to dip their toes in without taking on the fiduciary responsibility and time commitment of being on the board.
